[ He doesn't want to talk about any of that other stuff. So he'll stick to something easy. ]

[catscratching]

( That's right, his hair had been falling out. She wants to ask if it's bad or gotten worse, but she doubts he'll be too forthcoming about it all.

So she'll stick to what's easy, too. )

Are you at the Manor?

[theknightshift]

[ And be seen like this? Oh Selina, no. ]

No. A safehouse.

[ The location pin he sends her puts him somewhere near Big Belly Burger. ]

[catscratching]

( It's not as if she knows all of his little safe houses.

But she sees where the pin is and asks, )

Have you eaten?

( Two birds with one stone and all that. )

No, I just need a haircut. I'll eat later.

[catscratching]

I'll be there soon.

( And true to her word, it doesn't take her long to reach his safehouse. A place she'll have to investigate later and get a feel for, but for now, she opts to approach this as calmly and naturally as possible.

If she knows Bruce, he probably hasn't gotten much rest since everything has happened, and the last thing she wants is to add any additional stress to his mood.

So instead of any surprise entrances from here, she announces herself with a text: )

I'm here.

[ Her messages go unanswered and there's a moment to wait while Bruce opens up the entrance. The 'security' is rudimentary: noisemakers mostly just to alert Bruce when someone's messing around the building. But he doesn't need anything much more sophisticated than that. He's in a position to get out before the intruder gets to where the safehouse actually is.

The door opens and there's Bruce, holding it open for her so she can come in. ]

Hello, Cat.

[ He smiles, but it's tired. So is the rest of him. ]

[catscratching]

( When the door opens, she greets him with an easy smile. There's a familiar warmth there, a softness reserved only for him as she meets his eyes. )

Hello, Bat.

( She takes a couple of seconds to look at him, and the sight isn't a surprise. They're both always tired, but it feels like there's something more to it here. The weight of what happened on the mission, maybe. Or something with one of the boys. Maybe even both.

She doesn't comment on it, though, instead offering a quiet thanks as she steps inside. Once he closes the door behind her and takes care of any security measures he might need to, she reaches out, easily winding her arms around one of his. )

Did you have something in mind or is it stylist's choice?

( Not that he has many options given the situation, but with Bruce, it's always best to ask. To know the left and right limits before she gets into anything. )

[ He welcomes the weight of Selina winding her arm through his own. She always knew how to keep him grounded and sane. Possibly better than anyone else he's ever known. It's why she was his first choice for this. He could have cut it himself, but truthfully, it felt better when someone else did it.

Her smile is easy and his is small, thin. But it's warm and reaches his eyes. A real one in a sea of performed niceties. ]

Not many options.

[ He pushes the hood back to reveal the extent of it. Clumps missing in patches around his head. Thin and wispy at the top. Utterly disastrous. He wasn't going anywhere looking like this. ]

Just try to avoid making me look like Luthor.
